İç mekan tasarımında akıllı tekstil malzemeleri ve sürdürülebilirlik ilişkisi

Abstract

Mekan ve malzeme ilişkisi birbirinden ayrı düşünülemeyecek güçte bir ilişkiye sahiptir ve mekan oluşumunu sağlayabilmek için malzemelere ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bu açıdan malzemeler mekan oluşumuna önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Malzeme, iç mekan niteliğini oluşturan, tasarımda estetik, görsel ve yapısal açılardan bütünlük sağlayan, mekanın tarzını ve atmosferini belirleyen ve iç mekan oluşumuna katkı sağlayan bir unsurdur. Bu bağlamda iç mekan oluşumunda malzeme gereksinimi kaçınılmaz bir unsurdur. Malzeme, zamanın ve teknolojinin ilerlemesiyle çeşitlenen, nitelik ve işlevleri geliştirilebilen bir kavramdır. Bu yönüyle, gelişimini teknolojik ilerlemelere borçludur. Mekan tasarımının ayrılamaz bir parçası olan malzeme gelişen ve değişen teknolojiyle birlikte baştan tasarlanabilir olmuştur. Malzemenin baştan tasarlanabilir olmasına imkan sağlayan teknoloji alanındaki gelişim ve ilerlemeler malzemelerin birbirinden farklı işlevleri ve teknolojik özellikleri bakımından ayrışmasını ve “akıllı” sıfatıyla nitelendirilmesini sağlamıştır. Zaman içerisinde değişen teknoloji iç mekan tasarımlarında kullanılan bazı malzemelerin niteliklerini değiştirmiştir dolayısıyla bu çalışma teknolojiyle gelişen yeni malzeme türlerine odaklanmıştır. Bu çalışmada teknolojiyle gelişen yeni malzeme türleri arasında yer alan akıllı malzemeler tekstil üzerinden ele alınmış ve “akıllı tekstiller” hem işlevsel hem de görsel estetik açılardan sahip oldukları potansiyel özelliklerinin yanında sürdürülebilirlik ile olan etkileşimiyle de dikkat çeken bir unsur olmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında yapılan anket çalışmasında sürdürülebilirlik, akıllı tekstiller üzerinde enerji verimliliği, uzun ömürlü kullanım, geri dönüştürülebilirlik gibi özellikleriyle ön plana çıkmıştır. Akıllı tekstil malzemelerinin sürdürülebilirlik etkileşimine yönelik özellikleri ve kullanılabileceği alanlar üzerinde nasıl ilişkilendirildiği yapılan anket çalışmasıyla tespit edilmiş, meslek profesyonelleri ve iç mimarlık öğrencileri tarafından işlevsel ve görsel estetik açılardan sahip oldukları özellikleriyle ön plana çıkmıştır. İç mekan tasarımlarında akıllı tekstillerin etkili bir role sahip olmasının yanında sürdürülebilirlik hedeflerine ulaşmada da etkili bir unsur olduğu saptanmıştır. The relationship between space and material has a relationship that cannot be considered separately, and materials are needed to ensure the formation of space. In this respect, materials make significant contributions to the formation of space. Material is an element that builds the essence of interior space, provides integrity in terms of aesthetics, visual and structural aspects in design, determines the style and atmosphere of the space and contributes to the formation of interior space. In this context, the need for material in the formation of interior space is an inevitable element. Material is a concept that diversifies with the progress of time and technology, and whose qualification and functions can be improved. In this respect, it owes its development to technological advances. Material, which is an inseparable part of space design, has become redesignable with the developing and changing technology. The developments and advances in the field of technology that allow materials to be redesigned have enabled the separation of materials in terms of their different functions and technological features and their qualification as “smart”. Over time, changing technology has changed the qualifications of some materials used in interior design, therefore this study focuses on new types of materials developed with technology. In this study, smart materials, which are among the new types of materials developed with technology, have been addressed through textiles, and “smart textiles” have become an element that draws attention with their potential features in terms of both functional and visual aesthetics, as well as their relationship with sustainability. In the survey study conducted within the scope of the research, sustainability has come to the forefront with features such as energy efficiency, long-lasting use, and recyclability of smart textiles. The features of smart textile materials regarding their interaction with sustainability and how they are related to the areas where they can be used have been determined with the survey study conducted, and in the survey study conducted, it has been determined that they have come to the forefront with their features in terms of both functional and visual aesthetics by professionals and interior architecture students, and in addition to having an effective role in interior design, they are also an effective element in achieving sustainability goals.
