Turgay Erdener’in Uğur Mumcu Kantatı’nın vokal kullanımı ve form açısından incelenmesi

Abstract

Çağdaş Türk bestecilerinden Turgay Erdener, bestecilik hayatı boyunca pek çok eser vermiştir. Bestecilik arayışları içinde evrensel akımlarla bağını hiç koparmayan Erdener, kendi yaşadığı toprakların müziğine de aynı oranda önem vermiş, dolayısıyla yerel ile evrensel arasında köprü oluşturmuştur. Eserlerinin yurtiçi ve yurtdışında pek çok kez seslendirildiği göz önüne alındığında, ülkemizde kendi kuşağındaki besteciler arasında eserleri en sık seslendirilen bestecilerden biri olduğu rahatlıkla dile getirilebilir. Müzik tarihine adını yazdırmış olan tüm bestecilerde olduğu gibi Turgay Erdener’in de dünya üzerindeki önemli kişiliklerden, evrensel izler bırakmış büyük bestecilerden, kendisinden önceki kuşak Türk bestecilerinden, hocalarından ve çağdaşlarından etkilendiği görülebilir. Ancak tüm bu etkileşime karşın Turgay Erdener kendi kişiliğini yaratmış özgün yazı stiline sahip bir besteci olarak Türk müzik tarihinde yerini almıştır. Yerel müziğe olan ilgisini söyleşilerinde de dile getiren Erdener, aynı zamanda sahne müziğine olan ilgisini de sıkça belirtmektedir. Özellikle sahne müziğine olan ilgisi ve sevgisi kendisini bu alanda pek çok eser vermeye yöneltmiştir. Bu alandaki yaratıları arttıkça insan sesinin imkanları, kullanım kolaylıkları, zorlukları ve müzikal ifade açısından sınırlarının genişliği gibi etkenlere hakimiyeti de kaçınılmaz olmuştur. Erdener bu alanda sadece verdiği özgün besteleriyle değil, birçok defa yaptığı türkü uyarlamaları ile de insan sesiyle olan bağını kuvvetlendirmiştir. Bu çalışmada Turgay Erdener’in hayatı, besteciliği ve onun yaratı dünyasının temellerini hazırlayan kültür sanat gelişim süreci ile ilgili bilgi verilmiş ve ilk kez bütün eserlerini içeren bir liste yapılmıştır. Ayrıca bu çalışmanın ana konusu olan “Uğur Mumcu Kantatı”nın ayrıntılı tematik ve biçimsel analizi yapılmadan önce tarihsel süreç içinde kantat formuna kısaca değinilmiş, daha sonra Erdener’in “Uğur Mumcu Kantatı” ses tekniği açısından incelenerek, bir bestecinin insan sesini tanıması, kullanım alanları, teknik ve müzikal zorluklar konusunda bilgisinin vokal yorumculuğu açısından önemi vurgulanmak istenilmiştir. Turgay Erdener, one of the contemporary Turkish composers, has produced many works throughout his composing life. Erdener, who never broke his ties with universal movements in his quest for composition, gave equal importance to the music of the lands he lived in, thus creating a bridge between local and universal. Given the number of times his works have been performed in his home country and abroad, it is fair to say that he is one of the composers whose works are performed the most frequently among composers of his generation in our country. Turgay Erdener, like all composers who have left their names in the history of music, was influenced by important personalities in the world, great composers who left universal traces, Turkish composers of the previous generation, teachers, and contemporaries. Despite this interaction, Turgay Erdener has developed his own personality and established himself as a composer with a distinct writing style in Turkish music history. Erdener frequently expresses his interest in stage music in interviews, in addition to his interest in local music. His particular interest and love for stage music led him to create a number of works in this genre. As his achievements in this field grew, it became unavoidable for the human voice to dominate factors such as its possibilities, ease of use, difficulties, and the breadth of its limits in terms of musical expression. Erdener's relationship with the human voice was strengthened not only by his original compositions but also by the numerous folk song adaptations he made in this field. This study provides information about Turgay Erdener's life, composition, and the cultural and artistic development process that laid the groundwork for his world of creation, as well as a list of all his works, for the first time. In addition, before the detailed thematic and stylistic analysis of the "Uğur Mumcu Kantatı", which is the main subject of this study, the cantata form in the historical process was briefly mentioned, then Erdener's "Uğur Mumcu Kantatı" was examined in terms of vocal technique, a composer's recognition of the human voice and its areas of use. It is aimed to emphasize the significance of his knowledge on technical and musical difficulties in terms of vocal interpretation.
