1960’lardan 2020’lere Amerikan sinema anlatısında postmodernizmin etkileri

Abstract

Postmodernizm akımının günümüzde ne zaman ortaya çıktığı ve ne olduğuyla ilgili tartışmaların olduğu görülmektedir. Hatta postmodernist düşünürler ile postmodernizm akımına katkı sağlayan düşünürlerin bile postmodernizm akımı için bir tanımlama yapmadığı ya da yapamadığı göze çarpmaktadır. Bir diğer önemli konu ise postmodernizm akımının iyi ve kötü diye ayırılabilecek yönlerinin neler olduğudur. Tüm bu sorulara cevap verebilmemiz için postmodernizm akımının etkilerinin yoğun olduğu bir alan üzerinden gözlemleme yapılması gerekir. Bundan dolayı bu çalışmada postmodernizm akımının görsel sanat alanının en etkili ve en yaygın örneklerinden biri olan sinema alanı seçilmiştir. Dünyaca tanınması ve popüler olması nedeniyle Amerikan ana akım sineması bu tezin ana konusudur. Tezde bu kapsamdaki filmler üzerinden çalışmalar yapılarak temel çıkarımlarda bulunulmuştur. Çalışmanın amacı postmodernizm akımının hem olumlu hem de olumsuz yönlerine değinmektir. Böylece postmodernizm akımının etkileri hakkında daha nesnel bir sonuç elde edilecektir. Çalışmalarımızın sonucunda elde edilen sonuç şudur; postmodernizm akımının seri üretime katkı sağladığı görülmüştür ancak seri üretimin getirdiği sonuçlar nedeniyle de yaratıcı ve özgün eserlerin ortaya çıkmasına zarar vermiştir. It seems that there are debates today about when the postmodernism movement emerged and what it is. In fact, it is noticeable that even postmodernist philosophers and philosophers who contributed to the postmodernism movement did not or could not make a definition for the postmodernism movement. Another important issue is what are the good and bad aspects of the postmodernism movement. In order to answer all these questions, observations must be made in an area where the effects of the postmodernism movement are intense. Therefore, in this study, the field of cinema, which is one of the most effective and widespread examples of the visual art field of the postmodernism movement, was chosen. American mainstream cinema is the main subject of this thesis due to its world recognition and popularity. In the thesis, basic inferences were made by studying the films in this context. The aim of the study is to touch upon both the positive and negative aspects of the postmodernism movement. Thus, a more objective result will be obtained about the effects of the postmodernism movement. The result of our study is as follows; It has been seen that the postmodernism movement contributed to mass production, but it also harmed the emergence of creative and original works due to the results of mass production.
