Roma imparatorluk döneminde besin tedarik organizasyonu ve stratejisi

Abstract

Bu çalışma ile beslenme olgusunun en önemli bileşenlerinden biri olan, besin tedarik organizasyonunun Roma İmparatorluk Dönemindeki yapılanmasının sistematik bir şekilde incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu sayede, hem Roma İmparatorluk Dönemi ile ilgilenen hem de besin tedarik yöntemini inceleyen araştırmacılara kaynak oluşturarak literatüre katkı sağlamak hedeflenmiştir. Gastronominin geçmişi ve gelişimi hakkında bilgi aktarımı sağlamak ve yiyecek içeceğin pişirme, saklama, hazırlık, depolama gibi aşamalarının yanı sıra tedarik kısmının da önemi vurgulanmak istenmiştir. Roma İmparatorluk dönemindeki besin tedarik organizasyonunun tarihinin ve aşamalarının araştırılarak günümüze olan etkilerinin ve yansımalarının görülebilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Roma İmparatorluk Döneminde Roma’ya başka bölgelerden gelen yiyecek ve içeceklerin neler olduğu, bu besinlerin tedarikinin hangi yollarla sağlandığı, besin tedarik organizasyonu esnasında ürünlerin hangi araç gereçlerin içinde taşındığı ve muhafaza edildiği bilgilerine ulaşılarak tezde bu bilgilere yer verilmiştir. Ayrıca Roma İmparatorluk Döneminde besin tedarik organizasyonu esnasında kullanılan yöntemlerin günümüze olan etkileri de incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. This study aims to systematically examine the organization of food supply during the Roman Imperial Period, which is one of the most important components of the concept of nutrition. In this way, it seeks to contribute to the literature by providing a resource for researchers interested in the Roman Imperial Period as well as those studying food supply methods. The goal is to convey information about the history and development of gastronomy and to emphasize the importance of the supply aspect alongside stages such as cooking, storage, preparation, and preservation of food and beverages. The research aims to explore the history and stages of food supply organization during the Roman Imperial Period and to observe its impacts and reflections on the present day. Information on what food and beverages were brought to Rome from other regions during the Roman Imperial Period, by what means these supplies were transported, and in what containers and equipment the products were carried and stored will be included in the thesis. Additionally, the thesis examines the impact of the methods used in food supply organization during the Roman Imperial Period on the present day, and the findings are shared with the reader.
