J.W. v. Goethe’nin Faust eserinde geçen ‘Flohlied’ ve ‘Der König in thule baladlarından bestelenmiş liedlerin şiir – müzik ilişkisi açısından incelenmesi

Abstract

Sözlü bir eserin müzikle zenginleştirildiği şarkı geleneği, kökü antik dönemlere uzansa da: ‘Romantik lied’ ile birlikte en verimli dönemini yaşamıştır. Bu çalışma, Goethe’nin Faust eserinde geçen iki edebi balad üzerine bestelenmiş liedlerin, lied formları bağlamında karşılaştırmalı incelemesini içermektedir. Bu bağlamda Faust eserinde geçen iki baladın ‘strofik’, ‘ikili – üçlü şarkı formu’ ve ‘through composed’ lied formları yapısında olan beste örnekleri, şiir - müzik ilişkisi bağlamında incelenmiştir. Araştırmaya öncelikle Goethe’nin hayatı ve Faust eserinin anlatılmasıyla başlanmıştır. Sonrasında Romantik dönemde şiir ve müzik ilişkisi ‘Romantiklerin Çatışması’ ekseninde incelenmiş; akabinde edebi baladın bu dönemdeki gelişimi ele alınmıştır. Daha sonra lied sanatının Romantik dönemdeki gelişimi incelenmiş; strofik ve through composed formları anlatılmıştır. Edebiyat ve müzik arasındaki bu biçimsel ve dramatik ayrımların yapılmasının lied yorumcularının performanslarına katkısı araştırılmıştır. Although the song tradition, in which an oral work is enriched with music, dates back to ancient times, it has experienced its most productive period with the 'Romantic lied'. This study includes a comparative analysis of lieds composed on two literary ballads in Goethe's Faust in the context of lied forms. In this context, the composition examples of the two ballads in Faust, which are in the structure of 'strophic', ‘binary – trenary lied form’ and 'through composed' lied form, are analysed in the context of the relationship between poetry and music. The research started with an introduction to Goethe's life and Faust. Afterwards, the relationship between poetry and music in the Romantic period was analysed on the axis of 'The Conflict of the Romantics', and then the development of the literary ballad in this period was discussed. Then the development of the lied in the Romantic period was analysed; the strophic and through composed forms were explained. The contribution of making these formal and dramatic distinctions between literature and music to the performance of lied interpreters has been investigated.
