Çingene kültürünün romantik dönem bestecilerinin vokal eserleri üzerindeki etkileri

Abstract

Yüzyıllar süren yolculuklarında gittikleri her bölgenin kültüründen izler taşıyan çingeneler, kuşkusuzdur ki tüm bu ülkelerin kültürleri üzerinde etkiler bırakmış, bu izler; resim, müzik başta olmak üzere sanatın pek çok dalında ilham kaynağı oluşturmuştur. Çingenelerin kökeni hakkında süregelen tartışmalar ve varsayımlar ışığında toplumlar üzerinde bıraktıkları etkiler açıkça gözlemlenebilmektedir. Bugün dünyanın pek çok ülkesinde çingenelere ait kültürel izler olduğu kesindir. Özellikle 19. Yüzyıl’da Avrupa’ya göç etmiş olan çingene grupları, dönemin karakteristik özelliği olan özgürlük anlayışının da katkısıyla pek çok kültürel etkileşimde bulunabilmiştir. Romantik Dönem Avrupa Müziğinin gelişimine katkı sağlayan bu kültür, sahne sanatlarında da kendine oldukça geniş yer edinebilmiştir. Görselliği ve canlı ruhuyla Romantik Dönem operalarında kendine yer bulan bu kültür, aynı şekilde lied kültürünü de etkilemiştir. İnsan sesinin doğallığı, tıpkı çingene yaşantısı gibi yalın ve içten görülmüş, ayrıca bu çok uzaklardan gelen garip insanların yaşantıları, Avrupa halklarının ilgisini çekmiştir. Çalışmanın konusu özellikle Romantik Dönemde bestelenmiş sözlü şarkılar ve opera eserlerindeki çingene kültürüne ait unsurlardır. 19. Yüzyıl Avrupası’nın politik ve beşerî yapısının özellikle sahne müziği üzerindeki etkilerine değinilerek seçilmiş bestecilerin eserleri incelenmiş, çingene kültürünün zengin yapısının Avrupa müziğiyle nasıl harmanlandığı konusu üzerinde yoğunlaşılmıştır. It is no doubt that Gypsies, bearing the cultural traces of all regions they traveled during their centuries-long journey, had an impact and left their mark on the cultures of each of those countries, becoming a source of inspiration in many branches of art, especially in painting and music. One can clearly track the influence Gypsies had on societies in the light of ongoing discussions and assumptions related to their origins. It is evident that many countries of the world today contain traces of Gypsy culture within themselves. Gypsy groups, particularly those that migrated to Europe during the 19th century were able to engage in many cultural interactions, owing to a conception of freedom which was the characteristic feature of that period. Such culture that made a significant contribution to the development of European Music during the Romantic Period was also successful at gaining ground in the field of performing arts. It attracted considerable attention in the operas of the Romantic Period with its visual quality and picturesque nature and had a similar impact on the Lied culture. The natural quality of the human voice was regarded as plain and genuine just like the world of Gypsies, and the lives of these strange people that came from distant lands sparked the interest of the European people. The subject of this study is the songs that contain lyrics, composed especially during the Romantic Period and the elements of Gypsy culture in operas. The impact the political and human structure of 19th century Europe had, especially on stage music is addressed while the works of select composers are analyzed, and the subject of how the rich structure of Gypsy culture was blended with European music is concentrated on.
