Türkiye’de protest müziğin 68 kuşağı gençlik hareketleri sürecinde incelenmesi

Abstract

Tüm dünyayı kasıp kavuran, 1960lı yılların başlarında başlayıp 1970li yılların ortalarına kadar devam eden gençlik hareketleri en yoğun dönemini 1968 yılında yaşamıştır. İşçilerin ve öğrencilerin başlattığı bu hareketler dünyada ciddi bir siyasi ve toplumsal gerginlik başlatmış ve adeta bir dalga gibi neredeyse tüm dünya ülkelerine yayılmıştır. Amerika’dan İngiltere’ye, Çin’den Senegal’e, İsrail’den Çekoslovakya’ya kadar birçok ülkeyi etkisi altına alan bu durum ülkemizde de büyük ayaklanmalara neden olmuştur. Başlarda öğrenci haklarını savunan; daha kaliteli ve eşit bir eğitim hakkı isteyen, ülkenin dört bir yanında eşit yaşam koşulları talebi için alevlenen bu hareketler daha sonra kitleleri de peşine ekleyip siyasi ve toplumsal hareketlere dönüşerek ülkemizde ciddi olayların yaşanmasına neden olmuştur. Devrimci yapısıyla tüm dünya gençliğini etkisi altına alan bu olaylar süreci, özellikle de 1968 yılı, dünyayı sarsan yıl olarak kayıtlarda yerini almıştır. Değişen dünyada kendi hak ve özgürlüklerini savunmak için, daha adaletli ve eşit bir yaşam arzusuyla çıkılan bu yol daha sonra sağ-sol, güçlü-güçsüz, eğitimli-cahil, zengin-fakir zıtlıklarından da payını almıştır. Ülkemizde emperyalist karşıtı gençlerin başlattığı bu haklı direniş her ne kadar istenilen sonuca varılamasa da, günümüze kadar gelen izler ve yaralar bırakmıştır. Bu süreçte hem dünyada hem Türkiye’de seslerini duyurmak isteyen gençler farklı müzik türlerinin doğmasına olanak sağlamıştır. Yaşanan olaylar sonrası müziğe yeni bir yön verilmiştir. Ülkemizde bu tür, geleneksel halk ezgilerimiz ve batı müziği ezgileri harmanlanarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu müzik türünde isyan, başkaldırı, emek, hak ve özgürlük temaları yoğun bir biçimde işlenmiştir. Antiemperyalist ve daha çok sol ideolojisine sahip kimseler, dile getirmek istedikleri her türlü konuyu bu müzikle kitlelere aktarmıştır. Geleneksel müziğimize sadık kalarak yaratılan bu müzik türüne Protest/Muhalif/Özgün müzik adı verilmiştir. The youth movements, which swept through the world, started in the early 1960s and continued until the mid-1970s, experienced their most intense period in 1968. These movements, initiated by workers and students, started serious political and social tension spreading to almost all countries of the world like a wave. This situation, which affected many countries; from America to England, China to Senegal, and Israel to Czechoslovakia, caused great uprisings in our country. These movements, advocating for student rights at the beginning, wanted improved and equal education. The demand for equal living conditions all over the country, later followed the masses and turned into political and social movements, causing serious incidents in our country. This process of events, which affected the youth of the world with its revolutionary structure, took its place in the records as the year that shook the globe, especially in 1968. In order to defend their rights and freedoms in the changing world, this path, which was started with the desire for a more just and equal life, later got its share from the contrasts of right-left, strong-weak, educated-ignorant, and rich-poor. Although this rightful resistance, initiated by the anti-imperialist youth in our country could not reach the desired result, it has left traces and scars that have survived to the present day. In this process, young people who want to make their voices heard both in the world and in Turkey have enabled the emergence of different music genres. After these events, a new direction was given to music. This genre, which will be born in the country, has emerged by blending our traditional folk melodies, where the themes of rebellion, labor, rights, and freedom are intensely handled. Anti-imperialist and mostly leftist ideologies conveyed all kinds of issues they wanted to express to the masses with this music. This type of music, which was created by staying true to our traditional music, was called Protest/Opposition/Original music.
