dc.description.abstractABSTRACT Wound healing is a complex and well-integrated process. Growth factors have an important role in modulation of wound healing steps. Because of their important role in wound healing, growth factors have been used as triggering agents in chronic wounds. In this article, we provide an up-to-date review of growth factors found to be effective in chronic ulcers and are commercially available on the market for treatment of chronic ulcers.
