Ana Akım İktisadın Gölgesi: Etik Sorun

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, modern ekonominin ele almadığı ya da fayda fonksiyonu ile bireysel düzlemde bireyin kendi çıkarını göze- ten davranış temelinde, faydacı felsefeye dayandırdığı etik anlayış ve bu çerçevede rasyonel birey kavramı sorgulanmak- tadır İktisadın yöntemindeki sorunsal onun etik anlayışına da yansımaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, iktisadın içine etiği yer- leştirmek ve bunu sosyal ontoloji temelinde yapmaya çalış- maktır. Çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde, etik teoriler ve ana akım iktisadın dayandığı faydacı felsefe, ikinci bölümde sosyal ontoloji konusundaki gelişmeler ve neden ik- tisadın sosyal ontolojiyi ele alması gerektiği vurgulanmakta- dır. Çalışmanın son bölümünde, etik ve sosyal ontoloji arasın- daki ilişki, Tony Lawson’ın ilişkisel sosyal ontolojisi (relational social ontology) çerçevesinde incelenmektedir.

In this study, the concept of rational agent, in which the mo- dern economy does not address or based on utilitarian phi- losophy on the basis of the individual’s self-interest in the function of utility function, and in this context, the concept of rational agent will be questioned. The problematic in the met- hod of economics is also reflected in its ethics. The purpose of this study is to place ethics in economics and try to do this on the basis of social ontology. The study consist of three parts: In the first part, ethical theories and utilitarian philosophy on which mainstream economics are based are questioned; in the second part examines developments on social ontology and also why economics should address social ontology. In the third part of the study, the relationship between ethics and social ontology are examined within the framework of Tony Lawson’s relational social ontology.
