dc.description.abstractABSTRACT OBJECTIVES: Oversupply of nutrients overstimulates beta cells in standard conditions, and severe burn injuries increase the metabolic needs. In this study, we investigated the effects of fat-rich nutrients on the endocrine pancreas during the acute phase of severe burns.
