Gelecek nesillerin ve dünyanın devamlılığı için sürdürülebilirlik kavramı önem kazanmış hem devlet hem şirketler faaliyetlerini bu noktada önem vermeye başlamıştır. Peki, kar sağlamak adına yıllarca görmezden gelinen bu durum sadece gelecek nesiller ve dünyanın devamlılığı için mi önem kazanmıştır yoksa sürdürülebilirlik işletmelere daha fazla kar sağlamak adına imkanlara yol açmaya mı başlamıştır? Bu araştırmanın konusu işletmelerin sürdürülebilirlik faaliyetlerini neden tercih ettiği ve tasarruflarından ne kadar ve nasıl kar ettiğiyle ilgilidir. Businesses have historically prioritized profit generation, often at the expense of the environment and natural resources. The inadvertent and deliberate harm inflicted on nature and resources has prompted a shift towards sustainability, driven by the imperative to secure the well-being of future generations and the global ecosystem. In response to this growing awareness, both governmental bodies and enterprises have begun to emphasize their commitment to sustainable practices. This research delves into the motivations behind businesses embracing sustainability initiatives, exploring the extent to which such endeavors contribute to their profitability. By examining the intersection of green finance, green accounting, sustainability practices, and the resultant savings, the study aims to elucidate the emerging opportunities for businesses in the pursuit of a sustainable future.
