For example, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is one of the most widely used MCDM approaches in the formation of performance measurement models. In this study, a hybrid model is developed with the usage of AHP and Design of Experiments (DOE) to obtain overall financial performance scores by combining performance scores at the financial ratios for 18 Turkish commercial banks and their rankings within the commercial banking sector. In obtaining performance scores of the banks at the financial ratios the rationing process is used. In the applied rationing process, three different thresholds (quartiles: Q(1), Q(2), and Q(3)) are determined for each financial ratio. In the paper, the results of the proposed hybrid model are compared with the results of the AHP approach to determine its advantages over the usage of the AHP approach alone. The comparisons show that the hybrid model provides statistically similar but more robust performance scores and ranking results.Item Effect of estrogen and progesterone on nerve conduction studies during ovarian cycle(2021) Sozay, Seyhan; Başkent Üniversitesi; 35141490Objectives: This study aims to investigate the effects of estrogen and progesterone on nerve conduction studies (NCSs) in three different hormonal phases of the ovarian cycle. Patients and methods: Between April 2008 and July 2008, a total of 40 healthy volunteer women (mean age: 24.1 +/- 5.1 years; range 21 to 43 years) with regular menstrual cycles were included in this prospective study. The participants were regularly menstruating for at least one year, without any hormonal disease and without taking any medication that could lead to hormonal dysregulation. Motor and sensory conduction velocities, amplitudes, and distal latencies were analyzed at the dominant extremities within the early follicular phase (EFP), late follicular phase (LFP), and the midluteal phase (MLP). Results: Except for the median nerve motor conduction velocity (MCV), there were no statistically significant differences between the peripheral NCS results in the three ovarian cycle phases (p=0.033). After adjusting for multiple comparisons, a significant difference was found between the EFP and LFP (p=0.004). Conclusion: Our study results showed that only median nerve MCV was affected in the menstrual cycle. However, this would be an incidental finding, or an increased sensibility of the median nerve motor fibers to ovarian steroids by an unknown mechanism. Further studies are warranted.Item Kesinleşmeden İcra Edilemeyecek İlâmların Kesinleşmeden Önce İcraya Konulması(Başkent Universitesi Hukuk Fakültesi, 2016-03) Özbek, Mustafa Serdar; Başkent ÜniversitesiPara alacağı ve taşır teslimine ilişkin ilâmlar, olağan kanun yoluna başvurulmuş olsa bile şeklî anlamda kesinlik kazanmadan önce icraya konulabilir. Bu ilâmlar, hakkında kanun yolu başvurusu yapılmış olmasına rağmen kabili icradır. Yargıtay, borçlunun talebi üzerine, teminat mukabili temyiz incelemesi sonuçlanmadan önce icranın ertelenmesi kararı verebilir. Bununla birlikte, aile hukuku, kişiler hukuku ve taşınmaz mallar üzerindeki aynî haklara ilişkin ilâmlar kanunen, derhal icra edilemez. Bu ilâmlar şeklî anlamda kesinleşmeden önce ilâmlı icra takibi başlatılırsa, icra mahkemesi icra memurunun işlemine karşı yapılan şikâyet üzerine derdest icra takibini iptal eder. Çünkü bu tür ilâmların ilâmlı icra kapsamında icraya konulabilmesi için şeklî anlamda kesinleşmesi gerekir. Judgments about money claims and movable delivery are enforceable before constitutes a res judicata, regardless of any ordinary methods of review (appeal). These judgments can be enforceable in spite of their being subject to methods of appeal. The court of cassation, upon request of the debtor, may order suspension of enforcement of judgment before the hearing of the appeal, ordering the posting of security by the debtor. However judgments involving property rights over immovable properties, family law and law of persons are not enforceable by law as of the time they where rendered. If enforcement proceeding starts before they constitutes a res judicata in these judgments, enforcement court judge shall review complaint concerning the enforcement and bankruptcy offices transaction and will annul pending enforcement proceedings. Because these kinds of judgments must constitute a res judicata in order to be enforceable within the framework of enforcement of court decisions.Item Predictors of parenting stress in parents of children with cancer(2021) Ay, Ayse; Başkent Üniversitesi; 34507150Purpose: In the present study, we investigated the parenting stress experienced by parents of children with cancer and the influencing factors. Method: This was a cross-sectional and descriptive correlational study that consisted of parents of 136 children in the age group of 0-18 years who were followed up for cancer in the outpatient clinics and services of a university hospital in Turkey. Parenting Stress Index, Burden Interview, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, Marital Life Satisfaction Scale, and Ways of Coping Questionnaire were used to collect the data. Results: No statistically significant difference was found between the parenting stress mean scores and gender of the parents of children with cancer (t = -0.350; P = 0.727). The results of the present study showed that the economic status (t = -4.16; P = 0.000), parents' physical (t = 3.606; P = 0.000) and mental health status after the child is diagnosed (t = 5.647; P = 0.000), accompanying mental health problems of the child (t = 2.567; P = 0.011), and diagnosis of children at a young age (t = -2.776; P = 0.006) increased the parenting stress of the parents. Conclusions: Nursing interventions can reduce parental stress by providing sufficient care and support during the disease process.
