    Bir koruma uygulaması çelik palas otel ve kaplıcası örneği

    Tez çalışması kapsamında, teze konu olan ‘Çelik Palas Otel ve Kaplıcası’ yapısının korunma durumu ele alınmıştır. Tez çalışması beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde çalışmanın amacı, kapsamı ve yöntemi yer almaktadır. Birinci bölümde; genel kavramlar başlığı altında konaklama yapıları ve tarihsel gelişimleri, kaplıca otelleri, Bursa kaplıcaları ve Bursa kaplıca otelleri ile ‘Çelik Palas Otel ve Kaplıcası’ anlatılmıştır. Her alt başlık bilimsel veriler üzerinden açıklanmıştır. Tezin ikinci bölümünde; Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun son yılları ile Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin ilk yıllarında mimarlık tarihimize ait önemli katkılar bırakan Mimar Giulio Mongeri’nin biyografisine yer verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde; Çelik Palas Otel ve Kaplıcasının tarihçesine yer verilmiştir. Kurumsal kimliği; Atatürk Palas yapısı, Kaplıca Yapısı, Bahçe Düzenlemesi ve Mongeri’nin öğrencisi olan Hüsnü Tümer imzalı 1950 yılında hizmete açılan Ana Bina yapısı üzerinden mekân ve tasarım özellikleri elde edilen veriler ışığında açıklanmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde; Erken Cumhuriyet Döneminin, modern tarzda tasarlanmış ilk asansörlü ve kaloriferli kaplıca oteli olması dolayısıyla önem arz eden Çelik Palas Otel ve Kaplıcasının günümüze kadar gördüğü restorasyon ve renovasyon uygulamaları anlatılmıştır. Beşinci bölümde; teze konu olan kaplıca ve konaklama yapısının özgünlük durumu; mimari ve iç mimari bağlamda değerlendirilmiştir. Tezin sonuç bölümünde ise; ülkemizin ilk kaplıca otel yapısı olan Çelik Palas Otel ve Kaplıcasının korunarak gelecek nesillere aktarılmasının kültürel mirasımızı koruma açısından önemi ve örnek olma durumu vurgulanarak, tarihi yapıların geleceğe aktarılması hususunda öneriler sunulmuştur. Within the scope of the thesis study, the preservation status of the 'Çelik Palas Hotel and Spa' structure, which is the subject of the thesis, is discussed. The thesis work consists of five chapters. The introduction will include the aim, scope, and method of the study. In the first part, under the title of general concepts, accommodation structures and historical developments, spa hotels, Bursa spas and Bursa spa hotels, and 'Çelik Palas Hotel and Spa' will explain. Each sub-title will define over scientific data. In the second part of the thesis; The biography of Architect Giulio Mongeri, who made significant contributions to our architectural history in the last years of the Ottoman Reign and the first years of the Turkish Republic, will include. The third part will include the history of Çelik Palas Hotel and Spa. Corporate identity; The Atatürk Palas structure, the Spa Building, the Garden Arrangement, and the Main Building, which was opened in 1950 by Hüsnü Tümer, a student of Mongeri, are explained in the light of the data obtained from space and design features. In the fourth chapter; The restoration and renovation applications of Çelik Palas Hotel and Spa are essential because it is the first spa hotel with elevator and central heating, designed in a modern style in the Early Republican Period explained. In the fifth section, the originality of the spa and accommodation structure, which is the subject of the thesis, will evaluate in the context of the architecture and interior architecture. In the conclusion part of the thesis; Emphasizing the importance of preserving our country's first thermal spring hotel structure, Çelik Palas Hotel, and Thermal Spring, in terms of preserving our cultural heritage and setting an example, suggestions were made regarding the transfer of historical buildings to the future.
