Son yıllarda konuya ilgide işletme yazınında da dikkat çekici bir artış gözlendiğini söylemek mümkündür. Bu makalede, ekonomik faaliyetlerin coğrafi yoğunlaşması konusuna işletme yazınının getirdiği katkılar üzerinde durulmakta ve ilgili yazında devam eden tartışmaların makro düzeydeki yansımaları tartışılmaktadır. Understanding the reasons for geographic concentration of economic activities has been a subject of study for a long time, and different aspects of the issue have attracted the attention of many scholars from various disciplines, ranging from sociology to economics. In recent years, the management literature as well is becoming richer in respect of studies on this subject. This article reviews and discusses the contributions of the management literature to the phenomenon of geographic concentration of economic activities, including their reflections on wider debates ongoing in the literature at a more macro-level.
